Guillermina Noël graduated in visual communication design at the University of La Plata, Argentina, in 1997, and has worked in exhibition and graphic design. She completed her Master of Design degree at the University of Alberta, Canada, in 2006.
She has taught design and history of design at the National University of La Plata, Argentina, and at the University of Alberta in Canada. She is currently pursuing a research doctorate in the Design Sciences program at the University IUAV of Venice, Italy, supported by a Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRCC). Her research focuses on the design of materials for people with severe speech and reading impairments, within a user-centered design approach and with a focus on users with special needs.
