Minou Afzali was born in 1972 in Erlangen, Germany and studied product design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, recieving her degree in 1999. From 1999 to 2004 she worked for the Meyer-Hayoz Design Engineering AG in Winterthur, Switzerland. She was project leader in the fields of product design, trade fair design and furniture design. From 2004 to 2008 she worked for several Swiss companies and institutions in the fields of product design, furniture design and exhibition design. Since 2008 she is staff member of the main research area Communication Design of the Bern University of the Arts. Her current research topic include aggression management in general hospitals, patient education and design migration.
